A mentor serves as a role model, advisor, and confidant. You are there to offer support, provide guidance, and help the youth navigate challenges. Your role can vary from offering academic help, giving career advice, to providing emotional support.
Becoming a youth mentor is a fulfilling endeavor that allows you to positively impact the lives of young people, guiding them through crucial stages of their personal and academic development and require the following skill set:
Effective communication techniques
Conflict resolution strategies
Building trust and rapport
Understanding youth development and behavior challenges
Requirements
Mentoringcan help youth as they go through challenging life transitions, including dealing with stressful changes at home or transitioning to adulthood. Close, healthy, supportive relationships between mentors and mentees that last for a significant portion of time (i.E., more than one year) are central to success

4. Available after 3pm weekdays / Saturdays / Mandatory WED-FRI Schedule
