Job Description:

Adhere to and promote Sovereign Logistics policies &
values. Responsible formaintaining and growing gross margin for assigned customer base and attaining operational performance goals. Possess strong market knowledge and a high degree of awareness of customer s needs and requirements. Engage and manage carriers and customer suppliers. Directly facilitate service offerings of a full scale in air, ocean forwarding, inland transportation, distribution, customs brokerage &
value-added services. Develop &
maintain an effective and growing business relationship centered on continuous improvement and value creation with clients. Fully participate and effectively cooperate within Sovereigns Global Network. Actively participate in cross training activity in key positions. Contribute expert knowledge and business acumen during discussions of critical organization issues &
account management.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established operational policies in productivity, operating efficiency and negotiating margins in accordance with company overall business plans, goals, objectives &
  • Achieve and maintain a high performing, customer-focused service function. Prepare, implement, and manage customer SOP s and customer pricing guides including ongoing and day to day quotes and buy sell margin with carriers and Sovereigns Global Network.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes designed to achieve operational excellence and defined customer performance metrics. Examples are customer satisfaction scorecards, carrier &
    transit time targets, EDI transmission adherence, regulatory &
    compliance standards etc.
  • Monitor supplier, vendor contacts as necessary (PO management, supplier shipping dates, resolve exceptional claims or client disputes, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a presence in local trade / shipping community (e.G. networking within related associations with ocean, air carriers &
    inland providers).
  • Prepare timely, accurate management information including proactive corrective action where required &
    as specified and requested by the company.
  • Consistently contribute to respectful, prompt and efficient customer relations.
  • Expertly interact with colleagues &
    affiliates to develop strategies for growth, establish &
    enhance company credibility.
  • Consistently promote and contribute to a clean, highly professional, properly organized, safe, healthy and quality driven business facilities and environment.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree or related experience preferably in international transportation &
  • Demonstrated proficiency and meaningful commitment in exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, change management and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve customer complaints and problems and restore or maintain business.
