FPGA Design | Hardware
Active TS/SCI Clearance with FSP Required
We are seeking a customer-focused team player to work on-site in a mission-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a willingness to interface with multiple teams throughout the design process.
Position:
Information Assurance Hardware Design Engineer
Focus:
FPGA architecture, design, development, and verification for cryptographic products.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with software and system engineers to conceptualize, document, design, code, verify, and lab-debug ASIC, FPGA, and embedded firmware designs.
Assist with designing new products and processes, and improving and maintaining existing ones.
Coordinate with other engineering personnel to ensure project completion and interrelated design coordination.
Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
Apply FPGA place and route (P&
R) tools with various libraries for physical design implementations.
Lead new product and process designs while providing technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
Perform Security Verification Testing and Certification to meet Type I Information Assurance Certification standards.
Produce security evaluation documentation for new ASIC and FPGA designs.
Review Very High Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL) code and provide security recommendations.
Evaluate, review, and test security code.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.
Experience in FPGA design using Xilinx's Vivado, Microblaze Design Suite, Partial Reconfiguration, Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS), and High Speed Serdes (HSS).
Development of NSA TYPE 1 security products using NSA IA security practices.
Proficiency with VHDL, C/C++, Bash, Verilog, Tcl/TK, Mentor Graphics, and GitLab.
Experience in cryptographic algorithm development and NSA Type-1 SV testing.
Python scripting skills.
Education | Experience:
Mid-Career Level:
Seven (7) years of experience as a hardware design engineer.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university (Five additional years of hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
Senior Level:
Twelve (12) years of experience as a hardware design engineer.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university (Five additional years of hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
