Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Invoice Management:
Prepare, issue, and manage customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Payment Processing:
Record and process incoming payments, ensuring they are applied correctly to customer accounts.
Account Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Collections:
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
Customer Communication:
Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to resolve billing issues, answer queries, and facilitate prompt payment.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on account statuses, aging receivables, and other relevant metrics to provide insights to management.
Credit Management:
Assess credit applications, set credit limits, and manage the credit approval process in line with company policies.
Dispute Resolution:
Investigate and resolve customer discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
