Job Description
We are looking for an experienced AP Accountant to join our vibrant team! The AP Accountant will help us continue spreading the joy of gardening and making it accessible by leverage their experience and expertise in accounting to support our fast-growing company. If you are a team-centric and organized accounting professional who is passionate about sustainable living and making a difference, we would love to have you on our team! This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
Manage daily AP accounting activities accurately and in the timely manner.
Ensure record-keeping is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Process and record AP and purchase-related transactions;
maintain vendors' profiles in the ERP system.
Prepare bank payments based on payment reports;
periodically generate payment plans based on the due dates and submit for managerial review.
Manage monthly Company credit card transactions and record them accordingly.
Generate weekly expense and cash flow analysis repot to monitor Company expenses and cash flow levels.
Assist tax advisors in preparation of annual 1099 tax filings.
Assist Accounting Manager in preparation of monthly closing reports and other tasks involving basic financial analysis.
Manage routine inventory adjustments, depreciation and amortization schedules.
Participate in the Company’s financial planning and analysis projects.
Follow Company policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager and the leadership of the Company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred;
graduates are welcome!
Public accounting firm experience is a plus, E-commerce and Direct-To-Consumer experience is a plus.
Capable of working in a fast-changing internet environment and adept at quickly learning new business-related software.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel formulas.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
