This is an interesting hire for us because we already have a growth team in place where I act as Chief Growth Officer and collaborate with our current VP of Growth, Ramy Kerdany. More on this below.
This is a "
Right person, right time"
hire for us, so our timeline for full-time employment here is somewhat flexible. In my mind it's between late 2024 and early 2025.
Between now and then we're open to contract work or part-time contributions, but we wanted to get this job up early so we can really take our time finding the right person.

Our niche
Every month we help thousands of Members experience somewhere new in their city, while helping our curated network of local businesses acquire passionate new fans. Offline started in Raleigh-Durham, and by August 1st, 2024 will be operating in 10 UC cities (Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, Nashville, Tampa Bay, Austin, Denver, Orlando, Indianapolis, Columbus, and San Antonio).
The role
Offline has successfully scaled from zero to ten markets, generating millions of dollars in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
As we tackle the next stage of growth from ~$3 million to $10 million in ARR, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic VP of Growth to lead our expansion efforts.
Our team, consisting of Ramy Kerdany, two growth associates, and myself, has a strong foundation but limited experience in growth marketing outside of our achievements at Offline. We're looking for a visionary leader to take the reins of our growth team and scale it to the next level.
Hiring Timeline
I'm accepting applications and interviewing for this position for the foreseeable future, and I'll make this hire as soon as I find someone who I believe either will be able to quickly generate enough revenue to cover their hiring costs plus any additional staffing required to execute the model. Our VP of Growth leads revenue generation at Offline, so they should be confident in their ability to supercharge our revenue curve.
I expect this to take some time, which is why I'm targeting later in 2024 or early 2025.
The ideal person would be able to start quickly. I will read every submission but cannot guarantee a response if you do not make it into a later round (we’re a small team). I'll do my best.
Requirements
Direct experience leading through our revenue stage. Hopefully this is self-explanatory.
Deep experience in consumer.This can be via DTC ecomm, consumer subscriptions, or something else, but the punchline is the same:
you don't have to be taught how consumer growth models work, what levers can be tested, what benchmarks are acceptable, etc.
Spider sense for what's cool:
This is something we just know when we see it at Offline. Some people have a natural intuition about what will work, why, and how to frame products and services in a way that is attractive to audiences. Some don't.

Everyone at Offline is compensated through a competitive base salary plus a growth-based bonus structure. Offline offers healthcare, dental, vision, and 401k (4% match). Equity will be granted according to experience level.
