AECOM is currently seeking a talented Structural Engineer II to support our bridge inspection practice in our Conshohocken, PA office. This is a remote position but will also involve a combination of office and field work, performing bridge load rating analysis and hands-on inspection of bridge structures throughout the region. Load rating analysis tasks will include the use of commercial bridge analysis software, as well as occasional finite element modeling. Inspection tasks will include hands-on field observation of a variety of structural systems and documentation of defects. AECOM often wins contracts to inspect and analyze some of the most complex and interesting long-span bridges in the area, although we also inspect vast numbers of less complex bridges. This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Structural analysis of bridges.
Working in the field performing hands-on bridge safety inspections
Field inspection work.
Significant amount of office responsibilities which include developing load rating calculations and models, field inspection reports, bridge repair recommendations and repair schemes, and cost estimates.
