Scope of Duties
At Caring for Family of Companies, we look for people with a nurturing spirit and a genuine desire to support and care for others. In this role, you can expect some or all the following duties:
Prepare and analyze financial statements according to GAAP guidelines
Reconcile and ensure the accuracy of general ledgerentries
Perform all medical billing functionsfrom invoicing through collections.
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including payroll and benefit allocations
Assist with monthly, year-end, and external audit activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial managementinitiatives
Perform general cost accounting, guide junior team members, and other related duties in the accounting department
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with benefits, payroll, receivables, collections, taxes, andpayables in a management-corporate environment
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close
Deep experience with accounting software (with QuickBooks experience preferred as we scale)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, combined with other skills in technology and electronics
Excellent analytical skills with attention to accurate detailunder deadlines
Excellent collaboration abilities with a team mindset prioritizing interpersonal communication, discretion, and exceptional judgment
