Job Description
The Senior Client Consultant is the frontline of the organization, maintaining responsibility for mid to large enterprise account engagement, development and overall satisfaction. They operate as the main point of contact for earned clients, building strong relationships with their clients.
As a Knowledge expert, they can scope, discuss and strategize preliminary concepts with clients with or without the assistance of other Shaker departments.
The Senior Client Consultant engages with the media and other vendors in order to maintain a pulse on new and emerging offerings and trends. This role may report into and take direction from a Team Director and/or VP of Client Service.
DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day to day management of clients
- Proactively Interact with clients by phone and in person;
some travel required
- Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the client organization
- Retain and nurture relationships with clients, internal departments and partners
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to clients – discover new opportunities to work together
- Maintain a deep understanding of all client dynamics such as business objectives, TA needs and projections, challenges, budgets, Etc.
- Serve as client’s internal Shaker advocate, interacting with Shaker departments to coordinate all deliverables seamlessly
- Juggle multiple clients and project priorities simultaneously
- Orchestrate long-term plans to meet client objectives
- Actively support the team in the preparation of proposals and media recommendations, ensuring all goals and objectives are being considered and incorporated
- Consult on and close customer contracts (Media or other)
- Responsible for consistent growth and client billings at all levels

The Senior Client Consultant is very confident in all key service areas of our business. They consult with clients (independently or with limited support), and can identify and scope opportunities in the following areas:
- Branding:
EVP, employer branding, campaign development
- Creative support:
Video, collateral, premiums, brochures, etc.
- Programmatic:
ad buying and campaign management
- Social media:
platforms, community management, social strategy and best practices
- Digital campaigns:
SEM, PPC/Sponsored Content
- Interactive Services:
websites, microsites, landing pages, digital assets, etc.
- Knowledge and expertise/awareness of technology solutions (ATS, CRM, Sourcing, and others)
- Identify and activate client growth opportunities through consultative sales opportunities
- Effectively and efficiently scope AND close projects and campaigns, delivering holistic full spectrum strategy recommendations
- Curate custom offerings to create more value for clients. This may be a completely custom-built solution scoped internally, or sourced via external sources and vendors
Client Operations
- Understands Shaker offerings and manages client initiatives within each core category (forms, execution, requirements, reporting cadence, etc.…)
- Operate as primary support for assigned clients
- Field and process client requests
- Juggle multiple clients and project priorities simultaneously
- Prepare media recommendations and plans based on client scope (hiring objectives, geography, budgets and more)
- Create orders and manage through to final sales approval, ensuring a high level of detail and accuracy
- Submit forms for all internal and reporting requests, providing accurate and comprehensive details required to receive the best possible client deliverable
- Follow-up with departments to ensure requested deadlines are met
- Attend all agency media/vendor presentations
- Maintain current work-in-progress records and archives of past project information as appropriate
- Manage all client billing requirements and inquiries – cost centers, POs, AR reporting, etc.
- Assist accounting team in timely retrieval of invoices
- Execute media plans, coordinating all assets (creative) and media agreements/orders
- Ensure client approvals are received prior to deadline
- Understands the process and can provide guidance around the creation of orders and billing processes
- Prepare flawless, well branded presentations
Project Leadership
The Senior Client Consultant is an expert at maintaining a high-level view of all projects within their client base, meeting and interacting with all relevant Client Consultants and key department personnel to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
- Able to juggle multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely delivery as scheduled and promised
- Able to skillfully navigate difficult conversations that may potentially arise over scope changes and impacted timelines for a variety of reasons - Maintains a mutually respectful relationship with all internal agency departments
- Oversee the flawless execution of media plans, assets, contracts/agreements and billing
- Ensure media performance is being tracked and reported against plan and guide/advise the team on strategic changes as needed
- Provide regular feedback and business forecasting to management regarding pipeline and business opportunities
Interact with media/vendors
- Attend all agency media/vendor presentations
- Engage with media/vendors to understand product suites suited for specific client goals and objectives
- Join New Business Development in final presentations to new prospects as assigned and requested
