Job Summary/Responsibilities
AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the opportunity to oversee and manage projects for primarily aviation sector work, but may also manage projects for municipal, public and private sectors. In the role of a project manager, this individual will need to be a leader for our design teams while also creating a collaborative environment for multi -discipline teams to engage and deliver excellent work. The selected candidate will manage projects primarily associated with an existing portfolio of large capacity contracts with growth into developing and winning work. Responsibilities include:

Client Management and Relationship Building
The most important attribute for this position is a successful track record of growing and fostering relationships with clients leading to repeated work.
Builds and maintains and fosters positive client relationships.
Develop proposals, scopes of work and fees that meet the client’s needs and expectations.
Client management services and relationship building.
Primary point of contact for projects for projects.
Work with clients to be in a trusted advisor role.
Leadership/Team Management
This potion will require the ability to lead multi-disciplinary and often multi-company teams to an integrated successful project execution measured by client feedback, and business performance The position includes working with clients as well as interdisciplinary technical leads and subconsultants to coordinate the successful capture and execution of projects in design and construction.
Mentor and develop staff, providing leadership in an environment the cultivates teamwork, initiative and growth.
Have an attitude that supports teamwork and collaboration with a desire to proactively build teams for successful project outcomes.
Guide project teams on solving technical issues.
Plan, direct and monitor all aspects multi-disciplinary work.
Ability to engage on multiple projects, or a large project with multiple phases. Expected level of engagement includes supervision on delivery of scope, direction and coordination as necessary;
identification of change orders, or delegating portions of projects to deputies with active engagement in oversite.
Understand issues and proactively problem solve address issues in a timely and professional manner.
Develop and communicate staffing plans and workload expectations throughout the project duration while meeting project schedules and budgets.
Lead by example for safety and quality execution
Review Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholders.
Coordination with clients, funding agencies, FAA, and/or local permitting agencies.
Manage and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projects.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for capture and execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

Project Management
Project Managers with the support of project controls are responsible for delivering business successes in addition to identifying and mitigate risk throughout the life-cycle of projects. Typical Project Manager duties for this position include:
Manage more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar.
Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-disciplinary projects involving the design of airport engineering projects, and support functions with a focus on the airside.
Oversee a wide array of aviation related design including, architectural, building engineering, and civil base work in support of Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports- from planning through construction administration.
Develop and define large dynamic project scopes. fees and objectives;
involving multiple disciplines, all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
Monitor and control overall project budgets and implement mitigation strategies when project divert from plans.
Implement project quality assurance and quality control.
Work with finance and accounting, operations, department mangers and managing principles for project reviews.
Oversee project invoicing and cash flow management.
Analyze financial statements, track earned value, and maintain budget tracking.
Develop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.
Manage change and exercise appropriate escalation to management as necessary.
Develop, maintain and track project schedule, project budget and risk register.
Prepare, coordinate and facilitate project meeting:
Prepare and maintain the agenda with associated meeting minutes.
Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
Maintains project documentation control.
Delivering positive financial metrics including as-sold profit, and days sales outstanding.
Receive positive client feedback in conjunction with achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.
Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Oversight of project throughout the lifecycle of the project from identification to capture, execution, construction and closeout.
Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to internal regional and Buildings + Places management.
Oversees the development of work plans and organizes project studies.
Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team.
Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement.
Oversee and develop technical approaches and cost estimates for proposals.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.
