Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Content Marketing Specialist to join our vibrant team! The Senior Content Marketing Specialist will help us continue spreading the joy of gardening and making it accessible by shaping our brand's voice and educational outreach. If you are a team-centric and creative marketing professional who is passionate about sustainable living and making a difference, we would love to have you on our team! This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
Content Creation &
Management:
Oversee the creation and publication of over 100 monthly blog posts to engage and educate our community.
Source, recruit, and manage contributions from external writers, ensuring quality and consistency across all content.
Select, edit, and appropriately crop photos to complement and enhance blog content.
Develop and refine instruction manuals and video scripts for our diverse range of products.
Assist with auditing PDPs and other website pages for language and grammar
Strategy &
Analytics:
Design and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with Vego Garden’s mission and market goals.
Continuously monitor and analyze SEO performance and keyword trends to guide content development, aiming to boost organic traffic, engagement, and conversions.
Provide regular updates and detailed reports on blog performance, including organic sessions, traffic, users, and revenue, and propose innovative strategies for ongoing improvement.
Team Collaboration &
Leadership:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and create content that reflects our brand’s values and objectives.
Manage the freelance writing budget efficiently, allocating resources to maximize content quality and reach.
Review and edit the work of other team members and contributors to maintain a high standard of accuracy and engagement.
Professional Development &
Industry Engagement:
Stay abreast of the latest trends in SEO, content marketing, and the gardening industry, particularly in the direct-to-consumer space.
Act as a knowledgeable and engaging liaison when interacting with writers, partners, and the gardening community.
Horticultural knowledge, particularly in food production and gardening, is highly valued and considered a significant asset.
Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the evolving needs of the Company.
Follow Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience in content creation and digital marketing, preferably in a DTC environment.
Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to produce clear and compelling content.
Experience managing high-volume content schedules and freelance contributors.
Proficient in SEO best practices and content performance analytics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with team members and external contributors.
Background in horticulture or a strong personal interest in gardening is preferred.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Benefits
The salary range is $55,000 - $65,000.
Paid Time Off.
A Total of 9 paid Holidays.
