Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Oversight:
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
Journal Entries:
Prepare and review complex journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Bank Reconciliations:
Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Fixed Assets Management:
Maintain fixed asset records, perform periodic reconciliations, and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
