Senior Accountant

Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company. This position involves overseeing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and budgeting.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and reviews.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
