Job Description
Billing and Accounts Receivable
Manages all activities in the billing function including but not limited to, generating and delivering accurate and timely customer invoices under multiple billing methods, managing collections, processing payments, and monitoring customer accounts.
Ensures invoices and billing practices comply customer terms and conditions, company policies and relevant regulations.
Responds to and resolves any customer internal and external inquiries. Ensures customer and billing issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
Performs reconciliation and auditing processes during each billing cycle, to report/correct any discrepancies and errors found in the records and to maintain system integrity and accurate billing practices.
Revenue Recognition
Completes revenue accounting activities using established practices and methods required to accurately record revenue, review for accuracy and completeness and compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other applicable regulations and practices.
Responsible for period close activities related to customer billings, collections, journal entries, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis for management and external audit schedules.
Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews, closings, analysis and reconciliations for revenue related transactions, accruals, deferred revenues, and unbilled revenues
Analyzes variances to budget and provides timely information for cash forecasting and projections.
Reviews documentation of sales contracts and transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and guidance.
General
Support the finance function’s general accounting activities including general ledger reconciliations, monthly close support, annual audit process, tax filings, special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Performing ad hoc projects/tasks as requested.
