Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Class A Company Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
As a Regional Class A Company Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods from our clients' warehouses to their designated locations within the region. You will be required to operate a company-owned truck and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport goods from warehouses to designated locations within the region
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the company truck
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and report any issues or damages to the appropriate personnel
- Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely and safe delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery details
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Class A driver
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to load and unload goods and operate a commercial truck
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Home once a week
