Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Property Controller to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and oversee our financial operations, focusing specifically on using Yardi Voyager to enhance our accounting processes. Your main responsibilities will involve providing accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory standards, and implementing effective financial controls. You will work closely with various stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making to support the company’s growth and financial health.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll, utilizing Yardi Voyager to streamline these processes.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement financial controls and processes, making use of Yardi Voyager’s capabilities to enhance operational efficiency.
Coordinate and oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, incorporating financial data and analytics from Yardi Voyager.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement;
utilize reporting toolsavailable in Yardi Voyager to provide actionable insights.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial service providers, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
Participate in strategic decision-making processes, providing financial insights and analysis to support company objectives.
Supervise and develop finance team members, encouraging mastery of Yardi Voyager as a critical tool for financial management
Requirements
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a demonstrated ability to apply these in a financial management role.
Experience with financial reporting and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, ideally with a focus on real estate or property management.
Proficiency in Yardi Voyager or similar enterprise property management software, complemented by advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with various stakeholders.
