Plc Technician - Direct Hire

We are seeking candidates for PLC Technician role on 1st shift. Compensation for this direct-hire opportunity starts at $24.00 per hour, but may go up depending on experience. Interested? What you’ll do as a PLC Technician:

• Work with the Maintenance Manager on controlling all department costs and developing metrics to track costs for improvement
• Schedule and complete all projects/assignments in a timely, cost-efficient manner
• Assist with negotiating prices, terms, and conditions, with outside suppliers used to meet project needs
• Assist with overseeing installation to ensure machines and other equipment are installed and functioning according to specification
• Test the ability of machines to perform designated tasks
• Confer with operational personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop solutions
• Assist in preparing estimates for labor and material costs on projects in the area of responsibility
• Keep current on the latest PLC methods and tools, to ensure the best possible practice in the workplace
• Prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software

What you need to become a PLC Technician:

• Post-secondary training in Electronics Repair, specifically including PLCs
• 3+ years of experience in a high-speed production environment is preferred
• High degree of troubleshooting capability
• Knowledge in areas of production and warehouse operations
• Willingness to work and direct in confined spaces and work with high-pressure steam
• Willingness to work around noise, dust, variable temperatures, and use of production chemicals
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
