Payroll Specialist

Company LLC is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the payroll operations of clients’ payroll and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the process. Company and its Family of Companies provide business services spanning various client needs such as bookkeeping, payroll, legal services, consulting, wealth management, and property management. The company’s mission is to meet the total accounting, tax, and business development needs of its clients to enhance the value of the businesses and individuals they are privileged to serve.
Responsibilities
Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and timely
Calculate and record payroll taxes, prepare tax forms, process quarterly tax returns, and maintain payroll records
Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll processing and tax compliance
Communicate with clients and tax authorities to resolve payroll issues and disputes
Maintain current knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
Perform year-end payroll processes and prepare W-2s and 1099s
Assist with other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
Experience with payroll software (preferably ADP or QuickBooks)
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry and calculations
