Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading staffing/recruiting and workplace civility consulting firm specializing in the Technology, Finance, and Healthcare verticals, both in the private industry and public sector. Currently, we are partnered with a premier client in search of a highly talented Nursing Director.
This position is a management-level role that is performed fully onsite from our client's location.
Job Overview:
As a Nursing Director with our client, you will be responsible for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department. You will establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and objectives while focusing on patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community as customers. This role involves continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration of department services and standards of care into the hospital's primary function.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise nursing staff and workflow
Establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and objectives
Approve timekeeping and employee evaluations
Meet applicable regulatory standards
Approve supply orders and participate in department strategic planning
Utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities
Interact frequently with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals, and volunteers
Qualifications:
I. Education:
Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN
Preferred:
MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field
II. Experience:
Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting
Three years of supervisory experience
Directorial experience in a hospital setting
Must have previous OR experience
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
Current Arizona Registered Nurse License
CPR certification
Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities:
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability
Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Personal computer skills
Self-motivated to complete work on time and meet deadlines
