Licensed Practical Nurse Geriatrics

NCG Associates, a highly respected healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a talented and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a specialization in geriatrics to join our team. As an LPN specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to elderly patients in various healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or physician
Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans
Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and personalized care
Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety guidelines
Requirements
Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric nursing
Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to adapt and thrive in new environments
Flexibility to work in different locations
Physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients
Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
