As an Engineer for Hardware Design at Ossia, you will be responsible for developing the electrical design of next generation wireless power systems. This hands-on role requires basic knowledge in electrical circuit design involving digital and analog circuits utilizing components such as microcontrollers, memory IC’s, power supply regulators, A/D and D/A converters.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with other engineers, schematic and bill-of-material (BOM) creation.
Printed circuit board (PCB) design.
Component selection.
Design documentation
Test procedure design and implementation.
Significant lab work involving testing circuit boards including initial bring-up and debug.
Working closely with other team members such as mechanical, RF, antenna, firmware, and test engineers.
Assist in the integration and test of the final system.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant hardware design experience, including product development
Experienced in the design of printed circuit boards (PCBs) at frequencies of 2–10GHz.
Strong knowledge writing python and shell scripts
Experience with Altium 365 including managed library components, database libraries, multi-channel designs.
A proven track record of taking products from concept through to volume production.
Knowledge of the new product development process and best practices to create a quality design while working within schedule and cost constraints.
Understanding of how to design for low cost, manufacturability, and reliability.
Excellent communication skills.
Education:
BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
