Espresso Services Inc., established in 1989 as a technical coffee service company, has set the benchmark for quality equipment, service, and customer support in the specialty coffee industry. Through its diverse divisions, sales channels, and product offerings, ESI collaborates with businesses of all sizes and types to enhance their coffee experience in every possible way.
This position strategically leads a remote office by cultivating and sustaining the company culture, vision, and mission. Working collaboratively with the CEO and other management partners to set and achieve long-range strategic objectives, implement comprehensive business development projects, and ensure company policies and procedures are upheld.
The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the P&
L;
overseeing budget, cost control, and overall profitability of remote office
Manage local sales, service, and operational teams
HR responsponsibilities include recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and terminations
Ensure team upholds customer service standards with professionalism, accuracy, and sense of urgency
Develop and maintain industry knowledge of equipment, service, water treatment, and products as applicable to the company sales strategy
Responsible for receiving inventory and completing monthly physical inventory counts
Coordinate ongoing training and education for team
Establish and maintain the on-call schedule for the service department
Uphold brand standard of company facilities through proper security, maintenance, and overall appearance
Manage payroll, time tracking, and expense reporting
Create social engagement through remote office events and outings
Assist in accounts receivable collections
Engage as a company representative within the local community and establish a personal network
Travel to the Minneapolis, MN office quarterly or as directed
Ensure company policies and procedures are upheld
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and/or experience in a related management position are preferred.
Strong organization and leadership skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills;
ability to prioritize effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills;
proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
General knowledge of finance including profit and loss and budget management.
Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace as well as experience with scheduling, communications, and other current typical business software tools.
Results Driven
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
4-year degree
Previous General Office Manager or Retail Manager experience
Familiarity with NetSuite
Basic knowledge of the general coffee industry
