Position Overview:
We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle all aspects of our company's financial record keeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive bookkeeping experience, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales tax and payroll taxes.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Conduct periodic audits of the general ledger and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
Oversee and support day-to-day accounting operations.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
