Financial Operations and Sales Instructor
This is a direct hire opportunity.
This is a hybrid opportunity in New York, NY.
About this position
The Financial Operations and Sales Instructor will report to the Academic Director and Site Director, teaching the basics of computer applications, financial management, investment operations, sales, customer service, effective communication, and CRM use. The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning, where students engage in role-plays, practice, and real-life applications to acquire key competencies for jobs in investment operations and/or sales. Instructors are instrumental in guiding students' professional behavior, building confidence, and advising them on achieving their goals. This role also involves collaborating on interdisciplinary projects and mentoring junior instructors.
Job Responsibilities
Teach Financial Operations, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sales courses daily to approximately 40-60 students.
Develop and deliver high-quality, student-driven, and project-based classes.
Guide self-directed learning and offer one-on-one tutoring.
Manage classroom dynamics following the program's behavior-modification model.
Collaborate with other instructors to refine and document the curriculum.
Identify key competencies for instruction to meet both college-level and industry requirements.
Utilize assessment tools to measure student learning and growth.
Ensure students' communication and professional skills meet internship and college partner needs.
Coordinate academic team efforts, including interdisciplinary projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend and participate in ongoing curriculum planning meetings.
Engage in weekly Academic Team Meetings and periodic professional development workshops.
Serve as a coach for a small number of students.
Facilitate weekly group sessions with students.
Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Skills/Requirements
4-5 years of experience as an educator required.
2-3 years of experience teaching or working with youth preferred.
Experience with progressive methodologies and interactive learning environments.
Project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience with curriculum development, syllabus creation, and lesson planning.
Proficiency with student assessment and continuous curriculum evaluation.
Experience with eLearning and blended learning approaches preferred.
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and virtual teaching tools.
Expertise in Microsoft Office, personal finance, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, customer support, and sales processes.
Passion for working with young adults and a strong commitment to the mission.
Understanding of the Opportunity Divide and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Additional Information:
This hybrid role requires an on-site presence at the NYC Wall Street site three days per week, with virtual support for our Pittsburgh site via Zoom.

Salary Range:
$64,700-$75,000.
