Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager of Product Design and Development. This key role will spearhead the design and enhancement of backup power generators, ensuring the delivery of top-quality, reliable, and efficient products to meet market demands. Key Responsibilities:
Product Design Leadership:
Lead the design and development efforts for backup power generators, from ideation to production, aligning with client needs and market trends.
Champion innovation by integrating state-of-the-art technologies and industry best practices into product design strategies.
Team Management:
Build and lead a proficient team of product designers, engineers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Technical Expertise:
Leverage in-depth knowledge of generator technology to drive design decisions and overcome technical obstacles.
Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards in power generation.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless product development processes.
Solicit feedback from stakeholders to refine product requirements and drive continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust quality assurance protocols to uphold the reliability, durability, and safety of backup power generators.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
Project Management:
Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet development milestones and objectives.
Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Working Conditions:
This role is primarily office-based, with regular visits to manufacturing facilities and project sites.
Occasional travel may be required to attend industry events or visit suppliers.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in the Generator Industry preferred
Extensive experience in product design and development, with a focus on power generation equipment, particularly backup generators.
Proven leadership and project management skills within a manufacturing environment.
Professional Engineer stamp required
