Eh&S Manager

Job Description
The EH&
S Manager develops strategies and programs to maintain compliance with applicable company, Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements and achieve World Class safety within their division. The EH&
S Manager will use a hands-on approach to communicate and coach team members at the division in addition to direct reports to best influence a positive safety culture with zero TRIR.
What you will do:
Ability to hold team members accountable to the division wide safety plan and communicate goals, improvements, and successes.
Identify and assess all certification and training requirements.
Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of division safety training programs.
Measure and manage required KPIs for Environmental, Health, and Safety, report to the leadership team and corporation as required.
Ensure compliance with air and water permitting regulations from local, state, and federal agencies.
Develop strategies to ensure safety and environmental stewardship is included in operating rhythms.
Provide coaching and development for all team members to improve safety behavior and performance.
Develop opportunities and facilitate tracking of employee engagement in EH&
S/EH&
S improvement initiatives.
Oversee contractor safety and training, hold contractors accountable to comapny standards.
Assess and report contractor safety performance.
Maintain Occupational Health programs in conformance with regulatory and West Fraser expectations.
Oversee division nurse responsibilities, trainings, and certifications.
Ensure integrity of improvement opportunities, routine risk identification, and control programs (e.G., pre-task risk assessment, development of safe work procedures, etc.)
Monitor quality and consistency of incident investigation and reporting process, ensuring proper identification and implementation of corrective actions.
Manage and monitor workers compensation injuries and litigation.
