About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Operations to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. We are a culture-first organization that works relentlessly.
As Director of Operations, youwill manage the end-to-end operations across multiple industry segments and for multiple locations. You will lead and/or build a team who will obsess about the Platform Customers and play a vital role in maintaining a vibrant team culture based on Vorto’s .
Own the customer experience for your locations by maintaining a strong culture built on Customer Obsession and Vorto’s Leadership Principles.
Spend and prioritize time across business units and invest in development of direct reports to ensure strong leadership throughout your region.
Manage and delegate daily operations to drive exceptional results, including executing standard operating procedures, identifying areas of improvement, implementing solutions, and providing ongoing training where needed.
Measure key performance indicators to drive performance metrics, manage inputs that deliver results, and convey performance results for regular business reviews

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Driver Community Management (drive culture)
● Carrier, Owner Operator and Driver Recruitment
● Regional Supplier Relationship and KPI Management
● P&
L Ownership
● Regional cost analysis and contract execution
● Regional intelligence (pricing, market outlook etc.)
● Competitor information/evaluation
● System updates, region specific, and driver improvement
● Driver evaluation
● Coordinate Training and Onboarding
● Coordinate with HSE &
Compliance Manager for risk &
communications with drive teams
● Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
● Commute and/or travel required 50% of the time to multiple sites or locations - company or leased vehicle provided
● CPG industry experience strongly preferred
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)
● Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.
● Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
● Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion
● Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects
● Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the organization
Educational/Experience Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● 5+ years in similar roles in truck operations
● Prior CPG industry experience
Compensation:
Base:
$150-200k, Performance/KPI driven Bonus Structure
