Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain product standard costs during the budget process and throughout the year.
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure accurate inventory costing and implement a cycle count process with the Master Planner.
Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory and associated reporting.
Conduct quarterly reviews of inventory, prepare capitalization of variances entries, and review balances for potential obsolescence.
Partner with the Operations team to provide financial support, including capital expense support, fixed and variable cost analysis, understanding cost variances, S&
OP, and scheduling.
Maintain fixed asset records, track capital spend, and report on completed projects.
Reconcile assigned accounts regularly.
Assist in month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
Support other Finance Department members with various projects as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
5-10 years of related manufacturing experience.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, financial reporting software tools, and ERP software.
Thorough understanding of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
