SUMMARY:
The Lead Restaurant Host is a customer-centric individual with a friendly demeanor who sets the tone for the Citrus Club Host team. The main focus of this role is overseeing the Citrus Club Host team, making certain that The Dewberry's luxury standards are consistently upheld. The ideal candidate for this position will possess customer service experience, as well as a minimum of one year of experience within a fine dining experience. He or she will have the ability to easily connect with Citrus Club's guests, providing exceptional personalized service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with recruiting, managing, training, and scheduling the Citrus Club Host team.
- Ensure the team is informed of any special requests or notes on reservations.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain seamless communication with the hotel's Concierge, Guest Services, and Front Desk teams.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with the Host team.
- Complete assigned side work.
- Greet all patrons, directing them to other outlets as necessary.
- Seat patrons in a rotational manner.
- Utilize Resy to handle all reservations and maintain a wait list during peak times.
- Notify the appropriate server immediately upon patrons' arrival.
- Manage patrons' special requests as they arise.
- Maintain basic knowledge of menu items and daily specials, including ingredients and preparation.
- Provide patrons with a friendly farewell, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the Host stand.
- Support servers, back server, the kitchen team, and management as needed.
- Attend pre-shift meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Host in a fine-dining environment.
- Ability to work equipment used in the outlet:
tablet, Resy, etc.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and patrons.
- Ability to multi-task and complete assigned tasks to ensure a smooth service.
- Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
- Dependable work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Must exude punctuality with regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
