Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeping Specialist to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and supporting our finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Perform other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.G., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
