Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Plano, TX! This is a hybrid role where the employee will be expected to report to the Plano office 50% of the time. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper at Tapcheck, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will work closely with our Accounting department and report directly to the Controller.
What You'll Do:

Manage daily reconciliations and loss of transactions, auditing vendor charges
Bank reconciliations/GL in addition to payroll and administrative tasks
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
Bookkeeper with A/P, A/R, Payroll and Month End Close Experience
What You'll Bring:

Ability to report to the Plano, TX office 3x a week
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in bookkeeping or related field
Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
Extensive knowledge of daily reconciliations and loss of transactions
Extensive knowledge overseeing Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
