Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Financial Records:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Reconcile Accounts:
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable and receivable, including the preparation and submission of invoices.
Payroll Processing:
Manage payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Audit Support:
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Expense Tracking:
Monitor and track expenses to maintain budgetary control.
Data Entry:
Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records.
Communication:
Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal team members regarding financial transactions and account balances.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven bookkeeping experience.
