Reporting to the Controller, the Bookkeeper assists with the oversight of the Company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks which have a direct impact on functions such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and record payments and adjustments. Some of the duties are to include:
Performs administrative functions.
Extracts data requested by the Controller and populates MS Excel.
Performs journal entries as needed for various account balances.
Responds to audit requests and assists in preparation of responses to various regulatory agencies.
Acts as backup to the payroll function.
Requirements
Minimum Associate's degree and 10 years previous work experience performing duties similar to those described.
Previous experience working remotely with strong references for performance.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Preference for candidates who have experience with Sage accounting software.
