Payroll Specialist & Bookkeeper

consulting services, isseeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist &

Responsibilities
Process full-cycle payroll for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance with relevant regulations, and timely delivery
Gathering information on hours worked for each employee
Calculating the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
Receiving approval from upper management for payments when needed
Preparation of applications to register in various states
Preparation of 401k census from payroll records
Perform bookkeeping duties including but not limited to managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Preparation of 1099s
Collaborate with team members to resolve any payroll or bookkeeping discrepancies or issues.
Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to payroll to ensure compliance.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any payroll or bookkeeping-related inquiries promptly and accurately.
Assist with year-end closing procedures
Requirements
Quickbooks Online (1-2 years minimum)
ADP Payroll (1-2 years minimum)
Excellent client relations and communication skills
Organized and able to work independently
Able to work in Microsoft Excel, Word &
Outlook
High school diploma or equivalent;
BS/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus
