Job Description
The Assistant Vice President of Clinical Services (AVPCS) position works under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Clinical Services and works closely with the Operations team, and Onsite teams for supervision support. He or She responsible along with the VP of Clinical Services for the coordination of all DMA clinical supervision for employed intern therapists as well as the development of unpaid student internship programs. He or She is responsible to ensure all newly hired or promoted clinicians are set up with clinical supervision as needed. They should work directly with Operations and Onsite Teams to ensure pre-licensed clinicians and interns are properly trained in documentation and clinical procedures. This position also collaborates with company executives and operations to development of program curriculum and training. The AVPCS maintains the highest professional and ethical standards, interfacing with all company staff, patients and stakeholders in a collegial manner. They will assist in ensuring that each region has appropriate clinical supervision to support the DMA locations and that all ongoing training and documentation is completed. He or She will provide clinical supervision or clinical support as required to all assigned interns.
Essential Job Functions:

Assume responsibility for clinical excellence and consistency in all programs.
Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on program needs.
To supervise in collaboration with the Operations team. Areas of development and in-service training include but are not limited to:
Individual therapy
Crisis Intervention
De-escalation techniques and approaches
Group Facilitation and Planning and Presentation
Documentation and Record Keeping
Ensure clinical schedule compliance &
clinical programming compliance.
To provide guidance and supervision to other clinical supervisors.
To supervise clinicians/interns as assigned and needed.
Upon hire, coordinates supervision for all pre-licensed clinicians/interns.
Collaborates with The Division President, VP of Clinical Services and Ops team to implement continual quality improvement activities for the treatment programs. Supports DMA Operations and MH treatment programs through the following:
To provide guidance and supervision to other clinical supervisors.
Evaluate and apprise each intern or clinical supervisor clearly identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals for the coming year.
Support the ongoing assessment of all group programing and continue to assess as needed.
Meet individually with Program Leadership or Clinician team members who are not meeting clinical expectations.
Meets with members of the clinical teams to discuss their concerns as needed.
Makes time and is available to listen to clinician concerns and facilitates resolution.
Supports the regular auditing of the clinical records and holds clinical staff accountable for maintaining appropriate standards for documentation.
Serves as a positive role model for treatment staff, patients, employees, and guests through a positive, caring, and professional attitude.
Maintains proper interdepartmental boundaries and respects/follows the chain of command and supervisory directives.
Develop and maintain Clinical Intern staff training manual.
Assume responsibility for Internship/Trainee ProgramReview resumes and screen potential candidates.
Connect with Program Director to ensure trainee/intern will receive experience and supervision necessary.
Establish relationships with colleges and universities and provide ED education or presentations at request of school.
Support the VP of Clinical Services in the ongoing evaluation and appraisal of clinical programming and the development of new curriculum and program initiatives.Implement clinical programming for specialty programs.
Evaluation and appraisal of each clinician or clinical supervisor clearly identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals for the coming year.
Assists in the monitoring of outside clinical supervisors’ billing and the number of interns assigned to internal and external supervisors.
Complies with the dress code.
Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Establishes and achieves realistic goals within the position.
Maintains the confidential nature of patients and related activities.
Assume any additional duties as assigned by the VP of Clinical Services or DMA Operations Team.
