This opportunity is for a General Technician to operate under the supervision of the Senior Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping out lab equipment maintained and calibrated to be ready for production and upcoming research experiments. This individual will be a member of the operations team responsible for supporting the creation of novel chemical, mechanical, and electrical systems as well as testing and prototype construction.
This role will suit an individual who has experience and drive working in a fast-paced biotech environment with a track record of execution and teamwork.
About the role
Prepare lab equipment for upcoming production and experiments
Clean and maintain lab equipment
Maintain lab by picking-up, cleaning and organizing
Keep laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and scheduling repairs
Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
Complete projects by assisting the project team and attending and participating in group and project meetings.
Requirements
Essential:
Minimum 1 year laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry
Mathematic and measurement skills
Knowledge of computer research and analysis programs
Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality
Willing to meet on-call obligations as needed
Ability to keep detailed records
Excellent attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with lab equipment
Good teamwork skills
Desirable:

Associate degree
Clean room experience for this role is a plus but will NOT disqualify someone necessarily. Given the right person, with good attitude and industry experience, we can facilitate the right training to up skill into the role.
