About the role:

Guides development teams utilizing Agile software development principles to create and deliver software applications that meet business, client, and company goals. Able to act independently to resolve highly complex problems. Is regarded as a leader and expert in their field. Strategic decision-making, balancing business, security and stakeholder needs. Provides prioritization and assists in work-breakdown structure for security analysts and engineers. Validates production readiness of new feature capability and prepares solutions for launch. Coordinates communications, marketing, operations and support plans associated with launching new production capabilities.
What you will be doing:

Understands product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
Works with clients and stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories/requirement specifications
Articulates product vision and user stories/requirement specifications in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
Manages backlog of user stories/projects for one or more products.
Establishes acceptance criteria and refines user stories/requirements with input from development team
Reviews and provides feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.
Acts as a liaison between clients and development teams or other stakeholders to clarify information and provide status updates
Creates Release Plans with input from development teams.
Monitors the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders, as requested.
Applies Agile/Waterfall methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
Leads planning and review meetings to communicate feedback on development achievements.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years Fintech operational product experience/knowledge.
Knowledge of financial services industry
Knowledge of FIS products and services, especially related to FIS IBS Core products
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Waterfall methodology experience
Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.G., executive, management, individual contributors)
Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts

The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification is preferred, but not required.
