Resource Innovations is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead and supervise the frontlines of payment processing. We issue more than $400 million in incentives annually to residential and business customers on behalf of our utility clients. Payment methods include checks, direct deposit, eChecks, and electronic one-time payment options. You will supervise a team of accounts payable staff, and coordinate within our Client Services and Corporate teams to determine funding received daily, create A/Rs and maintain prefunding records, and handle all associated document reviews prior to sending payments. The Incentive Processing Supervisor will play a key role in keeping RI at the cutting-edge of payments turnaround time and accuracy of incentive fulfillment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee staff and ensure robust accounting processes with high-volume daily rebate check runs, guaranteeing high-level accuracy, in a complex, high volume, consistently changing environment.

Cash Flow Management and Forecast
Account Reconciliation and pre-work.
Account Receivables Aging Report
Independently leading the incentive fulfillment team with minimal guidance, navigating complex and high risk accounts payable environment with confidence, strong leadership, and impeccable accuracy
Ensure fast and accurate incentive fulfillment according to unique customer and client-specific required outcomes and coordinate cross-functionally across teams to continually improve.
Ensure the tracking and researching of outstanding and returned rebate checks, and accurate check reissuance when necessary.
Oversee the creation of client-specific customer-facing mail mergers, letters, or other marketing materials to include rebate checks.
Provide client-requested reports as needed which may be recurring or ad hoc requests.
Perform bank reconciliations across numerous incentive accounts.
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, verifying Cash Receipts, and Adjusting Journal Entries and Manual Bills.
Support the development of and lead the testing and implementation for alternate methods of incentive payments such as eChecks and other electronic payments.
Support 1099 preparation and paperless W9 storage.
Continuous W9 management to ensure appropriate list of potential 1099s, consolidate suppliers, and help ensure zero IRS fines.
Lead team activities related to the avoidance of escheatment of incentive funds.
Maintain electronic file organization, storage, and retrieval pertaining to check run batches, client/vendor receivables, and procedural documents.
Track team performance and manage and improve outcomes through the consistent use of self-driven KPIs and measurements.
Supports and develops direct reports through leadership training, performance management, and professional development.
Apply best practices to continually improve processes, outcomes, and efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field. (Can be replaced with sufficient equivalent work experience.)
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
Proven experience of success in an accuracy-focused environment
Efficient multi-tasking ability
Self-motivation and exceptional follow-through skills are a must.
Professional writing and communication abilities
Oracle Accounting System knowledge.
Some driving may be required, and a clean driving record is preferred.
Must be willing to work in person in our Salt Lake City, UT office.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
