Accounting Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records through account balance and bank statement reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, with proven experience in collaborative teamwork. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. The Accounting Supervisor will assist the CFO in various accounting functions, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the majority of the following tasks:
Assist the CFO with workflow process improvements and special projects.
Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Address inquiries from the CFO regarding various accounting and financial functions.
Monitor and analyze the financial department to develop more efficient procedures and optimize resource use while maintaining accuracy.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
Compile and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts using electronic data and required documentation.
Prepare and summarize financial status reports, including profit and loss statements.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Play a key role in the company's financial management, including account reconciliations and reporting.
Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with the accounting and finance team or other departments.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare financial statements and budgets according to schedule.
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting processes.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Anticipate risks and opportunities, promoting continuous improvement.
Monitor daily performance of the accounting department.
Ensure the accounting team meets all financial reporting deadlines.
Handle personnel issues related to absenteeism, performance, and conflict.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 4+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Previous manufacturing or experience working with inventory highly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle complex issues.
Ability to meet continuous deadlines.
Highly detail-oriented and organized.
Strong experience with accounting software and programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
