Position Overview:
Stardom Employment Consultantsis looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our client's accounting team in performing various financial tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations
Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and variance analysis
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, resolve issues, and support overall business objectives
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes, and communicate updates to the team as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or leadership roles
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
