About the team
The Settlement Reconciliation team reconciles and researches settlement for the US credit and debit network activity for Worldpay merchants. The team sits inside the Global Financial Operations within the CFO Organization. The Settlement Reconciliation team prides itself on their commitment to integrity, accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.
What you will be doing
You will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to research various settlement processes related to ACH (automated clearing house) rejects, returns, routing holds and other banking and general ledger transactions. As new processes are identified you will have the opportunity to direct the implementation and routinely monitor the maintenance and success.
Works with internal and/or external clients and service providers to resolve out of balance conditions, funds movement errors and/or transaction processing inquiries
Designs operational procedures and processes that meet department expectations, audit standards, and improve efficiency
Analysing trends, identify and recommend changes, improvements and enhancements to management
Utilizes settlement systems/data and bank-provided systems to understand, prepare and record general ledger journal entries, cash and balance sheet reconciliation
Support or lead project management efforts delegated to the team
Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner including presentations
What you bring:
Key attributes the ideal candidate will possess
Payments and Banking experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
Knowledge of cash management, accounts receivable, bad debts, financial analysis, account reconciliation and balancing processes
ACH file processing, reconciliation, and research
Strong ability to analyse data and research skills
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business at various levels to find winning opportunities
Detail-orientated
