Youth Apprenticeship - Mechanic Shop

Keller Inc., a reputable Design/Build General Contractor, is offering a Youth Apprenticeship opportunity in our Mechanic Shop. As a 100% employee-owned company, we are committed to providing valuable learning experiences and opportunities for growth. This position will allow you to gain hands-on experience and work alongside skilled mechanics and technicians in our well-equipped shop.
Responsibilities
Assist mechanics and technicians with repairs, maintenance, and inspections of construction equipment and vehicles
Perform routine tasks such as changing oil, replacing filters, and checking fluid levels
Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Assist with parts inventory management and organization
Keep the work area clean and organized
Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements
Enrolled in a high school youth apprenticeship program in the automotive or diesel mechanic field
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in mechanic shops
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
