Job Description
Overall Purpose and Objective of Position:
This position operates the wastewater treatment plant equipment
For a soybean crushing and biodiesel plant. Primary function is the testing and monitoring of wastewater and
Boiler processes to ensure they are operated and controlled in a safe and efficient manner in compliance withgovernment regulations and Company standards.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Daily testing of wastewater to ensure compliance with regulations
Operates wastewater treatment / Boiler equipment properly following approved procedures
Responds to equipment issues or alarms, investigates issues and initiates resolutions
Performs all required inspection rounds. Collects water samples at several locations for testing.
Sample and perform testing on boiler water treatment
Records laboratory test data and generates reports as appropriate
Ensures plant facilities are kept clean and free from all safety hazards, complies with company safety rules, and wears proper personal protective equipment (PPEs) as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
Reports any issues to area supervisor.
Provides general housekeeping to assure a safe and uncontaminated environment
Completes miscellaneous tasks as requested by management
