About the role:
As a Workforce Planning Senior Manager you’ll be part of a Strategic Workforce Planning function within the People Office (what we call HR). In this pivotal role, you will:
Lead a team of Workforce Planning Analysts who partner with key stakeholders in the Business, Finance, and HR to develop and maintain consistent, standardized workforce plans for Business Units and Corporate functions.
Work with experts on the team to own, deploy, and enhance enabling processes and technology.
Build and leverage critical relationships with other HR COEs (such as Talent Acquisition, Workforce Programs, People Analytics, Organization Design, Learning, and Talent Management) and key functions such as Finance and Procurement.
Design and build executive presentations that help communicate our function’s mission and illustrate outcomes and value of effective workforce planning.

Are part of a broader Workforce Planning and Insights function that brings together People Analytics, Mergers &
Acquisitions, and Workforce Programs.
What you will be doing:
Lead and coach a team of workforce planning practitioners as they guide business leaders, finance partners, and HRBPs in developing and executing workforce plans which include robust supply and demand models, dynamic scenarios, and options for optimally closing gaps in talent needs across key workforce factors of Cost, Capacity, Capability, and Composition.
Provide Operational Workforce Planning functional expertise to the team and key stakeholders.
Support and train new users on how best to leverage our Operational Workforce Planning platform, Workday Adaptive (formerly Adaptive Insights).
Work with internal and external partners to maintain, optimize, and enhance our planning platform.
Partner with the People Analytics team to leverage predictive analytics in planning models.
Enhance and maintain our Workforce Planning Toolkit with reference information, templates, examples, and other tools for workforce planning practitioners, HRBPs and key partners.
Support communications and change management efforts such as building presentations explaining the workforce planning process for various audiences, including outside HR.
Lead/Participate in projects that support the long-term vision and roadmap for the broader Workforce Planning and Insights organization.
What you will need:
Direct people leadership experience
7+ years of experience in workforce planning/analysis, talent management, or HR strategy
Quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
Data analytics and visualization experience
Advanced Excel Skills
Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly Adaptive Insights) or other workforce planning platforms
Experience building analytical models from multiple sources of data, dimensions, and perspectives (supply, demand, internal, external)
Ability to manage projects with stakeholders across multiple functions or businesses
Experience executing and delivering large operational projects and continual process improvement involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders
Communication and persuasion skills and experience explaining technical issues to different audiences.
Solid initiative, driven self-starter;
able to work independently and manage results.
Added bonus if you have:
Organization Design experience
Change Management and/or consulting
Statistics/statistical modelling, capacity planning
Incorporating Location Strategy into Long-Range Talent Planning
Prior role at large-scale, global company with complex business units and corporate functions, including mix of matrixed and functionalized resources.
Visier or similar People Analytics platforms
Workday data/reporting and key talent modules
Familiarity with Position Management staffing model
