Position Overview:
As a Workday Implementation Contractor, you will be instrumental in implementing the Workday Financial Management modules within our organization. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, configure the Workday platform accordingly, and ensure a seamless transition to the new system.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze finance-related business requirements.
Configure various Workday Financial Management modules, such as Core Financial, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Adaptive Planning, Projects Procurement, and Financial Reporting.
Customize Workday functionality through configuration, including creating calculated fields, custom reports, and integrations.
Lead testing efforts by preparing test cases and managing system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and end-to-end testing.
Provide end-user training and support throughout the implementation process. Develop desktop procedures, end-user documentation, business process maps, and other training materials as necessary.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on Workday functionality and best practices.
Assist client teams during data migration, testing, and deployment phases.
Collaborate with project managers and other consultants to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
Work closely with internal and external partners, including consultants and Workday support, to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
Document configuration decisions, process flows, and system enhancements.
Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and key milestones.
Stay informed on Workday product releases and enhancements, assessing their potential impact on client implementations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of implementation methodologies, tools, and templates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Workday Financials certification(s) is required.
Proven experience with Workday Financial Management implementation projects.
Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and processes.
Hands-on experience configuring Workday Financial Management modules.
Experience with data migration, integration, and reporting within Workday.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to train, lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and deliver presentations effectively.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
