A Welder II welds part assemblies of the highest quality and in the safest and most cost-effective manner to help ensure the best delivery to the customer while complying with all company policies and manufacturing procedures.
1st Shift - 6am-2pm x1
2nd Shift - 2pm-10pm x1
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Review drawings and instructions
*Prioritize orders
*Perform layouts
*Position, align and fit components together
*Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding
*Set up weld schedules, equipment, and weld parts using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
*Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need
EDUCATION:

*High school diploma or GED
*Certificate in welding from college or technical school or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
At least 6 months tig, mig or arc welding experience
TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:
*Must meet company QA welder qualifications (NADCAP certification)
*Ability to read blueprints
*Intermediate math and reading skills
*Ability to set-up and operate required industrial equipment, including but not limited to, manual welders, mig, tig, stick, and semi-automatic welders, plasma cutter, cutting torch

*Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
*Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery
*Welders must have visual acuity of 20/30 or better, be able to read the Jaeger No. 2 chart at 16 inches, and score satisfactorily on the Ishihara color test in order to comply with NADCAP welding certification requirements. Vision requirements may be met by natural or corrected vision. Vision is tested annually at company expense.
*Ability to stand and/or walk for majority of scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, though possibly more when overtime is required
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently as needed
*Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes
*Ability to weld in multiple positions and climates
