LAC Federal is seeking Web Services &
Outreach Librarian to work support development and maintenance of library intranet site as a key member of a major intergovernmental discovery and access team. The successful candidate is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the Library Network website, including maintenance, ongoing development and enhancement, and future redesigns and innovations. The person will implement the requirements of the web development team for web content and services. The person will also contribute to the library's outreach activities by designing and creating different types of digital marketing materials to promote the library's collections and services. This is a full-time benefited position with a hybrid on-site and off-site schedule.
Responsibilities:

Manage content on the library's websites (internal site, external site and library staff site), ensuring that information is current, accurate, consistent, and accessible.
Conduct usability studies to determine if web services and applications are meeting the needs of user groups.
Assist with the creation and oversight of web policies and standards and ensure compliance with institutional and library policies on web site usage, security and standards.
Collaborate with library staff and assist them with the development and implementation of new web content and services.
Participate in the Web Development Team, evaluate and respond to web services support requests, and provide all levels of web related assistance.
Assemble, distribute, and evaluate site analytics using Google Analytics, Adobe analytics or other tools to help with planning across the library’s web presence.
Manage the library’s LibGuides application and perform periodical quality checks on the LibGuides’ URLs.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
Experience in website design, application of web accessibility standards, content management system, XHTML, HTML, CSS, and text and image editing software
Knowledge of Web accessibility standards and user-centered design principles.
Knowledge of usability testing and other ways to evaluate web services.
Strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to write concisely and effectively for the web.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Experience with social media and survey tools is desirable.
