Job Description:
Warehouse Driver / Shipper
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for transportation of inventory between facilities, shipment of inventory from warehouses, and transport product/equipment between offsite warehouses.
- $26.50/HR
- 12 Hour shifts (2-2-3) Employees work 7 days in 2 weeks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
- Understand and implement all safety rules and policies regarding the use of powered industrial trucks, handling heavy equipment or material, and general warehouse safety
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor
- Move trailers and transport product between local plants and offsite warehousing using tractor trailer
- Ensure that all proper documentation and paperwork are in order to transport product and equipment
- Process, setup and ship products from outside warehouses as well as the plant
- Ensure product integrity is maintained at a high level
- Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained
- Provide assistance in absence of Traffic Coordinator
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices.

Requirements
- Minimum1 year Class A verifiable experience
- Pass a background and Motor vehicle check including drug (including marijuana) and alcohol verification drug screen
- Knowledge and understanding of DOT regulations
- No Major Chargeable Accidents
- Possess Valid Class A CDL
Qualifications:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules standards and guidelines.
- Detecting, eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and transportation of material
