Unreal Engine Project Manager

The Senior Unreal Engine Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering game development projects leveraging Unreal Engine. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine, and a deep understanding of the game development lifecycle. The Senior Unreal Engine Project Manager will oversee multiple project teams and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality game experiences.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple game development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, artists, and quality assurance professionals to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, and track project performance against these plans.
Facilitate communication within the team and with stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding project status and expectations.
Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle.
Implement project management tools and best practices.
Identify and mitigate project risks, and anticipate potential obstacles.
Work closely with the team to ensure effective use of Unreal Engine for game development.
Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve future projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Project Management, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of project management experience, preferably in game development.
Proficient in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Strong knowledge and experience with Unreal Engine.
Deep understanding of the game development lifecycle.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience managing remote and international teams.
Understanding of 3D modeling, animation, and other aspects of game design.
This position is primarily office-based but may require travel to meet with different teams and stakeholders. Extended hours may be required during critical project milestones.
