AECOMis seeking a part-timeTransportation Planning AssistantinProvidence, Rhode Islandoffice. We're looking for individuals with transportation planning or community engagement backgrounds looking to develop public engagement and data gathering skills. We have part-time openings to support our work as-needed with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation at MBTA Commuter Rail Stations in Rhode Island. Individuals will be part of a field-work team that will count passengers, with the possibility of additional assignments, pending individual’s interest in railroad or public transit-related subjects.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Documenting and observing customer behavior and patterns as they use a specific ticket vending machine (TVM).
Engaging with members of the public by asking them to fill out a TVM Survey.
Supporting the survey design team with feedback on design effectiveness.
